What this site is

CarryHaulDepot is an editorial reference about luggage. Nothing is sold here. Every description on the site is a reading of the wording of a third-party product listing at the time it was read.

What the descriptions are based on

Product listings are written by sellers and can be edited at any time. A figure quoted on this site is a figure a listing stated when we read it; it may not be the figure the listing shows today, and it has not been independently verified by us.

Where this site says a figure is not stated, that is a statement about the listing rather than about the object. A bag has a weight whether or not anybody has published it.

No promise about carriage

Nothing on this site tells you whether a bag will be accepted in a cabin or a hold. Size and weight allowances are set and published by carriers, differ between carriers, fares and aircraft, and change. Words such as airline approved, airplane approved and TSA approved appear on some listings quoted here; they are not certifications and confer nothing.

Rules about what may be carried are published by the relevant authorities and by your carrier. This site does not restate them and should not be used as a substitute for them.

No professional advice

This site offers no medical, legal or safety advice of any kind. It makes no claims about what any weight is safe or comfortable for any person to lift or carry.

Content and reuse

The writing, structure and layout of this site are ours. Product names, product photographs and quoted listing wording belong to their respective owners and appear here for the purpose of description and comment.

You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back. You are not welcome to reproduce the site wholesale.

Liability

The site is offered as it stands. We take care over it and we correct what we are told about, and we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of it. If a figure here matters to you, check it against the listing and then check the object itself.
